About the Opportunity
DMI, LLCis seeking a Lead Network Architect to join us.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee the implementation of enterprise-level network architecture to support mission-critical government systems.
- Define network standards, roadmaps, and modernization strategies aligned with federal security and performance requirements.
- Lead cross-functional technical teams in network engineering efforts, including SD-WAN, IPv6, cloud connectivity, and zero-trust frameworks.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate secure network design principles
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations to leadership on improvements and innovations.
- Ensure compliance with DHS, NIST, and FISMA guidelines in all network infrastructure deployments.
- Serve as technical authority in vendor management, solution evaluations, and major incident response.
- Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, design documentation, and executive briefings for internal and client stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience: BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- CCNP or CCIE certification strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, and QoS policies
- 10+ years in enterprise network engineering and architecture
- Proficiency in Visio, Cisco DNA, NetScout, or similar tools
Additional Requirements:
- Experience supporting DHS or CBP highly desired
- Familiarity with FISMA, TIC 3.0, and Zero Trust architecture models
Background Requirements: Must successfully pass a fingerprint-based background investigation.
