About the RoleWe are seeking a Vice President to build and lead our Modern Management Platform function: the shared engineering team that owns how every Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and cloud PC endpoint in the enterprise is configured, secured, updated and measured. You will treat Microsoft Intune and its surrounding control plane as a product, delivering a reliable, well-governed platform that multiple endpoint, mobility and virtualization teams build on.
This is a new function in a highly regulated, multi-entity environment. The successful candidate will set the standards, operating model and team that the broader workplace engineering organization depends on.
Key Responsibilities
Platform & Tenant Ownership
- Own the Intune tenant as a platform, including tenant configuration, RBAC, scope tags, administrative units and change control.
- Govern a consistent multi-entity, multi-tenant management model, including tenant-to-tenant migration patterns and configuration parity.
- Serve as the accountable technical owner for the platform in audits, regulatory examinations and incident reviews.
Policy Architecture
- Design and govern endpoint policy across Windows, macOS, iOS/iPadOS and Android: configuration profiles, security baselines, compliance policies, update rings and app protection.
- Act as design authority for device-based Conditional Access in partnership with Identity and Information Security.
- Assess the platform impact of security and baseline changes before enterprise-wide rollout.
Application Deployment
- Own the Intune application deployment plane: assignment model, deployment rings, supersedence, dependencies and delivery telemetry.
- Define packaging standards and acceptance criteria, and partner with software and vulnerability management teams on remediation and upgrade campaigns.
Automation & Engineering Practices
- Build automation using Microsoft Graph, PowerShell and Power Automate to eliminate manual configuration, reconciliation and reporting.
- Establish configuration-as-code with source control, peer review and dev-to-production promotion for all policy and script artifacts.
Compliance, Telemetry & Reporting
- Define endpoint compliance baselines and measure drift against them.
- Deliver an authoritative device and configuration dataset and Power BI reporting for operations, audit and executive audiences.
Leadership
- Build, lead and develop a team of platform engineers
- Set and enforce engineering standards across peer teams, and run a clear intake and prioritization model for platform requests.
- Chair a cross-team configuration review forum and maintain documentation, runbooks and roadmap.
QualificationsRequired
- 8+ years in endpoint, platform or systems engineering, including 3+ years leading engineers.
- Expert-level Microsoft Intune and Entra ID, including RBAC, scope tags, Conditional Access and multi-tenant patterns.
- Proven ownership of endpoint policy and security baselines at enterprise scale (10,000+ devices).
- Strong automation skills with Microsoft Graph, PowerShell and REST APIs, with source-control discipline.
- Application deployment and packaging-standards experience across Win32, MSIX and macOS.
- Experience delivering operational reporting in Power BI or a comparable tool.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and set standards across teams without direct authority.
Preferred
- Financial services or other regulated-industry experience, including audit and exam support.
- Familiarity with control frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
- Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations, Windows Autopilot, Autopatch and Windows 365.
- Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, SC-300 or AZ-104.
Education:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or equivalent in professional experience
