Responsibilities

Position Mission: Serve as CBIZ's primary point of contact for the Microsoft Partner Relationship, driving measurable value from the partnership by defining and executing the strategy to leverage Microsoft funding programs and co-sell channels in alignment with CBIZ company goals and objectives.

CBIZ is seeking a Microsoft Alliance Manager to own and strengthen our relationship with Microsoft. This role is responsible for maximizing the value of Microsoft programs, incentives, and partnerships. You will act as the internal expert and external liaison, ensuring our organization has defined the strategy and executing the tactics necessary for CBIZ to achieve all applicable partner statuses. The role will also focus on accessing Microsoft funding and lead generation programs, and ultimately responsible for overall Microsoft partnership success. You will work closely with global and regional stakeholders to align skilling and proof of execution to ensure Microsoft program eligibility is achieved and maintained.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Serve as CBIZ's primary liaison to Microsoft, managing day-to-day relationships across partner, sales, and alliance teams
  • Identify, qualify, and secure Microsoft funding, incentives, promotions, and co-sell opportunities
  • Continuously evaluate Microsoft partner programs to ensure achievement of partner designations and specialties and full utilization of available benefits
  • Act as the internal expert on Microsoft licensing, incentives, partner programs, and eligibility criteria
  • Leverage existing Microsoft relationships while building new connections to expand CBIZ's reach and influence5-10 years of experience in alliances within Microsoft ecosystem
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft incentive, funding, co-sell motions, partner ecosystem
  • Experience working in consulting, SI, or technology services organizations
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing quota, pipeline targets, or revenue metrics

Preferred Requirements

  • Product familiarity with Microsoft Azure services including Compute, Networking and Security
  • Knowledge of Data & AI platforms such as Copilot, Databricks and Azure AI services
  • Product familiarity with Power Platform tools including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Familiarity with Microsoft co-sell and marketplace programs
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, technology, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 years of related experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, business development, channel sales, technology consulting, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with technology partners, enterprise software providers, cloud providers, or similar ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate the activities of others across sales, marketing, delivery, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to formulate, document, and recommend new policies, processes, procedures, and partnership operating models.
  • Able to work in and lead a team environment while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology, collaboration platforms, customer relationship management tools, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to travel as required based on business, partner, and client needs.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 6 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
