Microelectronics Program Manager to support our U.S. government customers.
This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in the microelectronics and semiconductor industry to address critical challenges in global supply chain risk analysis. As the Program Manager, you will lead a small, specialized team to track and analyze trends, conduct in-depth technology assessments, respond to customer inquiries, and identify systemic vulnerabilities within the global microelectronics landscape.
While this position does not involve managing supply chain logistics or operations, a strong understanding of semiconductor industry ecosystems, technical processes, and supply chain complexities is required.
This is a remote role with the flexibility of working from home; however, candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance of the Boston, MA area to accommodate occasional site visits on short notice.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent Amentum's microelectronics team with government clients and implement scalable research strategies addressing global semiconductor risks.
- Lead and support the production, review, and refinement of the team's responses to government Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Conduct in-depth analysis of semiconductor hardware, processes, and supply chains-from intellectual property to end-user delivery-identifying vulnerabilities and risk elements.
- Research and analyze publicly available data, including strategic planning, demand/capacity forecasts, regulatory considerations, safety and risk factors, and performance trends.
- Provide actionable recommendations and insights to mitigate supply chain risks and help government clients make informed decisions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in gathering open-source microelectronics data and creating risk assessments.
- Manage a small team to deliver high-quality, complex risk analysis deliverables.
- Provide on-site client support as needed for inquiries, ad-hoc reporting, and guidance on analytical methods.
Minimum Requirements:- An active Secret U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required to maintain this clearance).
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 10+ years of experience in program management/support or supply chain risk analysis.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in the microelectronics/semiconductor industry.
- Proven ability to conduct detailed research and produce insightful analytical reports.
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in business tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:- Strong understanding of n-tier supply chain risk analysis across the semiconductor ecosystem.
- Ability to lead effectively in ambiguous situations and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with strategic planning and process improvement initiatives related to risk analysis.
Compensation Details:$125,000 - $145,000 annually
