Qualifications

  • New York State License (Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician)
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field preferred
  • ASCP certification preferred
  • Experience with Roche instrumentation is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform moderate and high complexity testing using advanced Roche equipment
  • Setup and perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and quality control
  • Analyze, review, and report test results alongside quality control outcomes
  • Take remedial action when test results indicate issues
  • Ensure specimen integrity through proper handling and processing
  • Follow all departmental policies on quality control, assurance, and safety

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

Monday to Friday from 4pm - 12:30am with rotating Saturdays

LOCATION: 250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801

HOURS: 4:00pm-12:30am; Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays

FULL TIME: Benefits Eligible

HOURLY RATE: MT $38.00-$50.00/hr/MLT $30.00-45.00/hr

*Sign On Bonus Eligible*

In this role you will:
  • Perform moderate and high complexity testing using state-of-the art Roche instrumentation
  • Set up and complete instrument maintenance, calibration and QC
  • Analyze, review, and report test results and quality control results and take remedial action when indicated
  • Ensure specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory's procedure for specimen handling and processing
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety


All you need is:
  • New York State License (Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician)
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or related degree, preferred
  • ASCP, preferred
