Mechanical Engineering Manager I

What You Will Do

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers across varying experience levels.

Drive Technical Excellence

  • Provide technical leadership for the design and development of complex mechanical systems and subsystems.
  • Guide engineering teams through architecture decisions, design reviews, validation activities, and technical problem solving.
  • Ensure designs meet requirements for performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and safety.
  • Promote engineering rigor through sound analysis, risk management, and data-driven decision making.

Deliver Innovative Products

  • Partner with program management and cross-functional teams to execute development programs from concept through product release.
  • Align team priorities and resources with business objectives and project commitments.
  • Remove obstacles, manage technical risks, and help teams successfully execute against schedule and performance goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience developing mechanical or electromechanical products in a technical environment.
  • Experience leading engineering projects, mentoring engineers, or providing technical leadership.
  • Demonstrated success designing complex systems, subsystems, or assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of product development from concept through production release.
  • Experience with 3D CAD and PLM tools (Creo/Windchill or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Prior experience managing direct reports within an engineering organization.
  • Experience in semiconductor capital equipment, automation, robotics, vacuum systems, precision motion, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) programs.
  • Knowledge of engineering analysis and validation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SEMI standards, cleanroom environments, or high-reliability systems.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Mechanical system and subsystem design
