OverviewENERCON's chief engineering division is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our Mechanical Analysis team.
The Mechanical Engineering Analysis Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the technical analysis capabilities of the organization. This role ensures that engineering analyses, evaluations, and technical deliverables are performed in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry codes and standards, client specifications, and company quality assurance programs. The position serves as a technical authority and people leader, responsible for developing organizational capabilities, maintaining engineering excellence, and ensuring successful execution of analysis projects that support the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of nuclear facilities.
The Mechanical Engineering Analysis Manager works closely with clients, project managers, and engineering leaders to align technical resources and competencies with current and future client needs. This individual is accountable for establishing technical direction, maintaining engineering processes and procedures, and fostering a culture of quality, safety, continuous improvement, and technical rigor.

Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and subject matter experts performing engineering analyses for nuclear power generation and other industrial facilities
- Ensure engineering analyses, calculations, and technical reports are executed in compliance with applicable industry codes and standards
- Maintain and continuously improve organizational technical capabilities, methodologies, tools, and processes to support evolving client needs and industry requirements
- Provide technical oversight and approval of complex engineering analyses
- Support business development activities by engaging with clients, identifying technical solutions, supporting proposal development, and communicating organizational capabilities
- Ensure engineering work products meet project requirements for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Mentor, develop, and evaluate engineering personnel to strengthen technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and succession planning objectives
- Foster a strong nuclear safety culture by emphasizing conservative decision-making, procedural compliance, and continuous learning
- Interface with clients, regulators, auditors, and senior leadership regarding technical issues, project performance, corrective actions, and organizational capabilities
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in design engineering in power generation, nuclear power or heavy industrial with preference for 2 of those years of experience as a leader
- Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and technical team needs, typically a few days
- Ability to motivate the team and achieve goals through a positive attitude and effective leadership style
- Proven experience with a high level of decision making, directing and overseeing routine and advanced technical work performed by others
- Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant
- Must be a US Citizen
Compensation RangeUSD $150,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.
