Qualifications

• BLS Certificate from American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
• Full, valid licensure to practice medicine by the NC Board of Medical Examiners required.
• National certification needed.
• Minimum one year of experience preferred.
• Experience with underserved or rural populations preferred.
• Familiarity with team-based care or PCMH/PCHH models preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, and documentation.
• Conduct patient assessments and prescribe medications.
• Order labs or imaging as needed for patient care.
• Manage chronic diseases and support self-management goals.
• Collaborate with care teams and participate in case reviews.
• Serve as a mentor/preceptor for junior staff members.
• Engage in quality improvement and patient-centered health initiatives.
