Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Marketing Generalist to deliver both customer facing marketing materials and internal banker facing resources for business credit card products and services, specifically designed for an audience of small to mid-size businesses. This role supports credit and debit card marketing within the U.S. Bank branch network. Responsible for recommending and implementing marketing and strategic sales support to achieve the business goals for an assigned product for one or more divisions, product lines, or market segments. Works with management to develop and recommend strategies and goals for the marketing of assigned products, including market direction, and cost planning. Manages the design and delivery of sales and marketing plans and presentations.

Works with and provides marketing support to areas responsible for selling the assigned product(s). Ensures appropriate staff is familiar with the credit and debit products and their applications. Assists in the development of promotional strategies to help meet marketing goals. This includes development of marketing, sales collateral, communications, and advertising.

Other components of the role include:

  • Developing marketing and sales materials that support the customer information needs at various stages in the sales process, reinforcing U.S. Bank as the partner of choice.
  • Has ownership of the creative development and project components with internal teams or external vendors associated with the key product and process initiatives.
  • Develops creative/project brief and routes to Manager for review prior to submission. Reviews and routes materials to appropriate SMEs. Ensures final SME comments incorporated and then routes to all necessary regulatory and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver final approved assets in appropriate formats on time and within budget.
  • Monitoring evaluating and reporting results from initiatives and leveraging those findings to inform future and ongoing efforts.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience .
  • 4-6 years of related experience in marketing with proven ability to deliver results


Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Financial institution or credit card marketing experience.
  • High degree of initiative and results orientation with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive self-starter, who sets priorities, takes on new projects and drives deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas via excellent clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing external vendors and establishing strong partnerships with internal teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially PowerPoint.
  • Proven expert at both development and tactical implementation of marketing materials.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and accurately in order to meet varying deadlines.
  • Comfortable working through shifts in program direction while still adhering to initial timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00
