Position Summary

The Manufacturing Team Leader is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives are met. This role provides hands-on leadership to production teams, coordinates operational priorities, and drives continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, and workflow efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with manufacturing experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to solve problems and improve performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily activities in the forming area to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to employees in accordance with company policies and management expectations.
  • Supervise team performance and promote accountability, engagement, and continuous development.
  • Monitor and improve manufacturing methods, process flow, equipment effectiveness, labor utilization, and capacity.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, improve quality, and control cost.
  • Support the introduction of new products, process changes, and operational improvements within the production area.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, environmental health and safety programs, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and operations leadership, to resolve issues and improve overall performance.
  • Communicate production updates, technical information, project status, and scheduling impacts to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Recommend improvements to departmental procedures, workflows, and team practices to support operational excellence.


Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior manufacturing or leadership experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and work effectively in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and driving operational results.

The range for this position is $88,942.00 - $122,295.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
