Responsibilities

  • Build short and long-term production plans based on demand requirements.
  • Implement and maintain supply planning processes across various business units.
  • Collaborate with procurement, marketing, sales, finance, and operations partners.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators to support supply/demand consensus.
  • Address capacity constraints with manufacturing teams to facilitate resolutions.
  • Cooperate with planning and manufacturing teams to meet scheduling demands.
  • Manage inventory entitlement to maintain global supply health and minimize waste.

How will you make an impact?

The Manufacturing Planner II will generate supply plan to fulfill requirements of the demand plan. They will work with the manufacturing and procurement teams across all value streams to ensure supply is available to meet demand requirements within the planning horizon using ERP systems. Responsible for delivering customer fulfillment targets while limiting working capital costs to inventory entitlement. The role is also responsible for deploying new process changes, templates, work on projects with other functions to account for organizational changes, etc.

What will you do?
  • Build short term and long-term production plans, generate orders fulfilling demand requirements and helping business to hit revenue targets.
  • Responsible for successful implementation and maintenance of supply planning processes and initiatives across regions, business units and product groups.
  • Influence and collaborate with key partners in procurement, marketing, sales and finance, and site-wide operations groups.
  • Support the development of key performance indicator results and maintain at target to support the supply / demand consensus.
  • Understand and highlight capacity constraints and work collaboratively with manufacturing teams on resolution across regional manufacturing sites.
  • Coordinate between planning and manufacturing teams to achieve schedule attainment demands, based on constraints within supply, capacity, equipment or other aspects of operations.
  • Manage inventory entitlement for responsible SKUs to sustain global supply health while minimizing expired, excess and obsolete risks.


Education
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor degree or Associate degree is preferred.


Experience
  • 3 years in Supply Chain / Planning with degree is helpful, or 4 years in lieu of degree.
  • 3 years experience working in a regulated CGMP manufacturing plant (preferably Pharma / Biotech / Life Sciences industries)


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques, confirmed understanding and application of planning functions related to Capacity Planning (CPS), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and interfacing systems (i.e., QA, Forecasting).
  • Proven track record in leading multiple tasks within tight time frames.
  • Experience using an ERP System, SAP, Oracle, JDE E1 preferred.
  • MS Office experience specifically MS Excel.
  • Strong balance of analytical skills and action orientation, combined with a practical approach to business, to drive balanced results with determination.
  • Influential, personable, and data-driven, especially with decision-makers and operational teams.
  • To work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/mentorship from manager. Ability to work well in a global organization within Operations and with external clients.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $66,000.00-$95,000.00.
