Manufacturing Engineer – Transducer

The Manufacturing Engineer - Transducer job functions function will be to assist with all aspects of transducer Production and Development projects, including, but not limited to; providing engineering and technical support to ensure volume, cost and quality standards are achieved; perform research, development and documentation for product lines while continuously focusing on product improvement.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Being responsible for the initial design support, assembly and testing of prototype transducers for custom inspection tools, then successfully transferring them into production.
  • Applying engineering skills and knowledge to develop new and improved production procedures, practices, and documentation.
  • Making safety a top priority at all times.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or other Engineering discipline.
  • Have proven knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of NDT UT transducers.
  • Have knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles, involved in production of precision technical plans, schematics, drawings and models.
  • Have the ability to take the initiative and be hands-on.
  • Have the capability of training and auditing the work of others.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have intermediate level computer skills in MS Office products.
  • Have CAD software experience such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks being a plus.
  • Have the ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, and customers.
  • Have willingness to perform a variety of tasks and work under strict deadlines.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal for a production environment.
  • Include exposure to shop environment involving lifting of material and/or products up to 30 pounds – some machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses and hearing protection.
  • May also require some travel

The annual pay scale for this position is between $83,630.00 - $155,350.00.

Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the pay range for this position during the hiring process.

You will have a choice of coverage options that best suit your needs. Coverage options and contribution amounts are related to your benefit elections, base salary level, and specific requirements of each of these plans.

This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which can be found , and is further eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses subject to the terms of the applicable benefit plans or policies.
