The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

What you'll do:
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing cells of new and existing products. Responsible for managing process documents, tooling and equipment for programs, driving continuous improvement utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools, performing ergonomic assessments and providing typical Manufacturing Engineering rigor required for Aerospace Industry product realization. This position is located in Westminster, MD and is a modified first shift role (10 am to 7:45pm).
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Safety, Ergonomics, and Management of Change activity in support of site safety goals.
• Generate and revise Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Work Instructions
• Design, Maintain tooling and industrial equipment for mature or new production
• Drive First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) improvement
• Provide timely support in resolving manufacturing issues using root cause problem solving tools (RCPS)
• Responsible for Work Cell Design, Integration and Validation
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and variation in processes focused on improving metrics
• Support 5S+ and visual management efforts in manufacturing areas
• Support Capital expenditures- define equipment needed, work with suppliers to get quotes, develop ROI
• Work with cross functional team to address non conformances on products and system CAR (Corrective action requests).
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, technology, or operations
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or Product Engineer
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in designing and maintaining large industrial equipment
• Lead process improvements and continuous improvement projects
• Experience in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)
• Knowledge of PFMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis - within Manufacturing).
Position Criteria:
• Solidworks or other drafting software experience
• Up to 10% travel required.
