Our Team, Your Impact

The Manager, US Commercial Data Governance & Data Enablement will provide operational leadership across the US Commercial Data Governance and Data Harmonization portfolio. The role will own core metadata management and data stewardship activities while serving as the operational lead and primary point of contact for priority Data Lake and data enablement initiatives. Working across business teams, IT, Data Stewards, vendors, and subject matter experts, the Manager will translate business needs into coordinated execution, track deliverables, resolve operational issues, and help ensure new data capabilities are delivered on time and transition successfully into ongoing operations.
The role will support a growing portfolio that may include US Commercial Process automation, launch KPI and analytics enablement, US Commercial data management and integration, Data Lake enablement and support to business units such as Innovative Business, Biosimilars & Generics, and data development needs associated with Business Development opportunities. The Manager will also ensure that trusted metadata, clear business definitions, appropriate stewardship, user training, and effective operating processes are in place as the US Commercial Data Lake continues to expand.

How You'll Spend Your Day

Data Lake & Data Enablement Delivery
• Serve as the operational lead and primary point of contact for assigned Data Lake and Data Harmonization initiatives.
• Coordinate day-to-day execution across business stakeholders, IT teams, Data Stewards, vendors, and subject matter experts.
• Translate business needs into documented requirements, execution plans, milestones, ownership, and follow-up actions; monitor progress and escalate risks or dependencies that may affect delivery.
• Support the development, onboarding, validation, and adoption of new data products, KPIs, analytics capabilities, and business unit data services.
• Help transition new Data Lake development into sustainable daily, weekly, or monthly operations, including controls, issue management, data quality monitoring, and user support.
Data Catalog & Metadata Management
• Own the onboarding and ongoing maintenance of Databricks, Tableau, and other data assets within Informatica Data Catalog.
• Ensure business and technical metadata, definitions, ownership, lineage, classifications, and usage guidance are complete, accurate, and current.
• Coordinate metadata review and validation with Data Stewards, data owners, and IT teams.
• Monitor metadata completeness and resolve gaps so users can locate, understand, and appropriately use trusted data assets.
• Evaluate new Informatica Data Catalog capabilities, coordinate with the vendor as needed, and recommend enhancements that improve metadata management, discovery, and user experience.
Data Governance, Stewardship & Quality
• Facilitate Data Steward engagement, clarify ownership, track governance actions, and ensure business definitions and data documentation are maintained.
• Partner with business and IT teams to support mapping, data dictionaries, quality controls, and issue resolution.
• Support recurring data quality reviews and operational controls to help ensure trusted and reliable insights.
Stakeholder Leadership, Training & Adoption
• Build effective working relationships with executive stakeholders, business teams, IT, analytics teams, Data Stewards, and vendors.
• Lead working sessions, provide clear status updates, identify decisions needed, and maintain accountability for actions and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver user training, onboarding, process guidance, and support for the Data Catalog and related data capabilities.
• Promote adoption of governed data assets and standardized processes by connecting business users with available data, definitions, owners, and support channels.
Operational Management & Continuous Improvement
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and operational requests, balancing timelines, dependencies, business priorities, and service expectations.
• Establish repeatable operating processes, trackers, controls, and performance measures that improve transparency and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual activities, streamline handoffs, reduce recurring issues, and improve delivery quality.
• Support the Director with portfolio planning, prioritization, roadmap execution, and other Data Governance, Data Harmonization, and Data Enablement initiatives as needed.

Your Skills and Experience

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education / Certification / Experience
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, analytics, information management, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Operations, Analytics, or related roles, including demonstrated ownership of cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience coordinating business and IT teams to deliver data products, integrations, analytics capabilities, or operational data services.
• Hands-on experience with data catalog, metadata management, data stewardship, or data governance platforms; Informatica Data Catalog experience is preferred.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and analytics environments, such as Databricks and Tableau/Power BI, is strongly preferred.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or commercial data, including launch, patient services, sales, marketing, or field analytics data, is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical data sets, or experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Healthcare industry is a plus. (IQVIA, Symphony, Secondary data pull)
• Robust interpersonal and communication aptitudes, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in delivering presentations to Sr Leadership.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Python and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
• Strong operational leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive execution across multiple initiatives without direct authority.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, coordinated work plans, milestones, and sustainable operating processes.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing requests, anticipate delivery risks, and escalate issues with clear options and recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with executive leaders, business SMEs, IT teams, Data Stewards, and vendors.
• Working knowledge of metadata, data lineage, data quality, data harmonization, stewardship, and Data Lake operating concepts.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Proficiency with SQL, Excel, data visualization tools, Python, Databricks and common project or requirements tracking tools (JIRA).
• Familiarity with AI-enabled data discovery capabilities is a plus.

Salary Range

The annual starting salary for this position is between $108,640- $135,800 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
