Purpose

The Manager, Sustainment & Control contributes to the overall success of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) US Cash Management Operations by supporting the execution, sustainment, and continuous improvement of operational frameworks, controls, and system usage. The role ensures that sustainment activities, operational controls, and change adoption are executed effectively and in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, the role supports delivery of business initiatives, management of operational risk, and embedding of sustainable processes into daily operations.

What You'll Do

  • Promotes a customer-focused culture within the team to support effective service delivery and strong internal partnerships.
  • Executes and supports sustainment and change initiatives, including process enhancements, controls uplift, and system usage initiatives.
  • Supports planning and delivery of initiatives through analysis, documentation of business requirements, UAT support, and procedure development.
  • Lead and support the development and execution of the product and program roadmap by ensuring alignment and delivery of defined scope, milestones and target delivery dates.
  • Drive resolution and escalation of any risks, dependencies or gaps that could impact delivery timelines.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains operational controls to ensure effective sustainment and mitigate operational risk.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee and maintain Quality Control and Quality Assurance frameworks and processes including standards, reviews, sampling and validation checkpoints
  • Develops and maintains operational procedures, user guides, knowledge materials, and training documentation
  • Tracks and reports management metrics (KPIs / KRIs) and escalates risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Ensures processes are embedded into daily operations and adhered to across supported teams.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manages and develops direct reports through coaching, performance feedback, and development planning.
  • Maintains working knowledge of GTB products, systems, and operational processes.
  • Understands and applies the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with operational, regulatory, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk obligations.
  • Maintains a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors
