Summary

We are currently seeking a Segment Lead Manager in our Global Supply Chan Services organization. The Segment Lead will own the end to end process for Product Design data setup, BOM Sourcing and Pricing for Bids and Source Plan Management for New Awards, Engineering Changes, Value Engineering, Material Value Proposals, and Re-Pricings. This role will be supporting the Healthtech segment.

Detailed Description

  • Lead a global team of professionals providing guidance and coaching as needed to meet organizational objectives
  • Deliver competitive material pricing solutions across the full life cycle of a group of products
  • Help increase the win rate for incremental and replacement business quotes
  • Improve profitability in this segment
  • Achieve all on-time delivery commitments for service requests
  • Work closely with senior leadership in supply chain, engineering and business units for strategy development and deployment


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • 8-10 years of experience in supply chain, engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge and experience of electronic and build to print components particularly related to cost drivers that impact competitiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement across a matrixed organization
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills to enable achievement of objectives.
  • Good understanding of enterprise business applications used across supply chain and manufacturing (ERP, PLM, MES)
  • Ability to proactively resolve complex issues & problems internally and externally
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated skills in multi-tasking and time management a necessity
  • Ability to effectively lead, coach, influence and motivate a diverse group of employees, potentially located in any country in which Celestica operates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally
  • External contacts with consultants, associations and other companies considered an asset for benchmarking and networking
  • Comfortable with industry standard communication and productivity tools (ie. e-mail, instant messaging, office applications)


Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc)


Typical Experience

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in supply chain, with 2-3 years of people managment
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of electronic and build to print components particularly related to cost drivers that impact competitiveness
  • Experience leading a diverse group potentially located in different countries or regions
  • Experience driving initiatives across an organization


Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (preferably Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering or Business), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
