What will your typical day look like?

We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Procurement Advisory team. The ideal candidate will bring deep procurement expertise, proven management consulting experience, and a strong track record of leading complex client engagements focused on procurement strategy, transformation, and optimization.
In this role, you will lead procurement advisory engagements from planning through implementation, managing project teams and collaborating with senior client stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes. You will advise clients across a range of areas, including strategic sourcing and negotiations, procurement operating model design, maturity and opportunity assessments, and process optimization.
You will also mentor and develop junior practitioners, contribute to proposals and Statements of Work, and support business development and internal practice-building initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact engagements, expand client relationships, and help grow the Procurement Advisory practice. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid environment, spending time at Deloitte offices and client locations as required. Travel within Canada and internationally may be required depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and deliver procurement advisory engagements from strategy through implementation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
• Lead procurement strategy, category management, and value creation initiatives.
• Design procurement operating models, governance, and organizational structures.
• Lead maturity assessments, opportunity assessments, and business case development.
• Advise clients on procurement transformation, digital enablement, and technology adoption.
• Facilitate executive stakeholder alignment and strategic decision-making workshops.
• Manage project delivery, engagement economics, risks, and resource planning.
• Lead and develop consulting teams through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
• Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance for analyses and client deliverables.
• Support business development through proposals, SOWs, client relationship management, and pursuit activities.
• Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, recruiting, solution development, and knowledge sharing.

You are someone who:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred
• 8+ years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or management consulting, including experience leading procurement transformation, category management, strategic sourcing, or operating model initiatives.
• Previous management consulting experience in procurement advisory is essential.
• Proven experience leading procurement transformation, category management, strategic sourcing, operating model design, and value creation initiatives.
• Experience developing category strategies, procurement transformation roadmaps, and business cases.
• Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements, manage project teams, and deliver complex workstreams in a client-facing environment.
• Experience building relationships with senior client stakeholders and influencing executive decision-making.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop consulting practitioners.
• Experience contributing to proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), business development activities, and client pursuits.
• Familiarity with procurement technology platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Jaggaer, Oracle, or SAP.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma are considered an asset.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
