About the Role:The Manager of Security Architecture will lead the strategic definition and execution of J.D. Power's identity, access, cloud, and Zero Trust initiatives. You will set technical direction for Auth0, Okta, and PAM programs, unblock architecture reviews that slow business units, and establish security-by-design principles. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic influence, directly enabling business velocity while strengthening the organization's security posture.
In this role, you will:- Define and communicate the identity and access management roadmap covering Auth0, Okta, PAM, and privilege access maturity
- Lead Zero Trust maturity assessment, architecture design, and implementation planning across identity, network, and data domains
- Conduct security architecture reviews for business unit initiatives and provide recommendations that balance security and velocity
- Manage and mentor the Principal Security Architect; provide technical guidance and strategic direction to the architecture team
- Collaborate with Cloud Platform, Infrastructure, and Development teams on AWS, Azure, and GCP security posture and roadmaps
- Establish architecture standards, patterns, design principles, and decision records that scale across the organization
- Track and communicate architecture roadmap progress, dependencies, and risk to CTO and business stakeholders
- Lead architecture proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies and validate solutions before enterprise deployment
Required Qualifications:- 10+ years in security architecture, enterprise security leadership, or cloud security roles
- Demonstrated success setting technical strategy and roadmaps across multiple domains (identity, cloud, network, or data security)
- Deep hands-on expertise in identity and access management (IAM, SSO, MFA, PAM, governance platforms)
- Strong multi-cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) with ability to design for hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Proven ability to translate security strategy into business outcomes and communicate with both technical and executive audiences
- Experience leading and mentoring architects and senior engineers
Preferred Qualifications:- CISSP, CCSK, or SABSA Chartered Architect certification
- Experience building Zero Trust architectures at scale
- Background in B2B SaaS organizations scaling from startup to enterprise
- Hands-on experience with Auth0, Okta, CyberArk, or similar identity platforms
Compensation and BenefitsThis position has a starting salary range of
$130,000 - $160,000 CAD / $160,000 - $200,000 USD per year. The range represents what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee's pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
