OverviewWe are seeking an SAP Technical Lead to guide development across S/4HANA programs with strong SAP Technical background with extensive experience to ensure delivery of scalable, and high-performance solutions. The role blends hands-on development with leadership, solution design, and quality governance.
What you will do- Lead ABAP custom development across S/4HANA programs including greenfield, brownfield, Bluefield, enhancements, and integrations, partnering closely with delivery and client teams.
- Architect clean-core, upgrade-safe extensions using RAP, CDS, AMDP, OData, and SAP Fiori, with experience across both embedded and side-by-side Fiori implementations.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, including coding standards definition, code reviews, ATC governance, performance tuning, and resolution of complex production issues through root-cause analysis.
- Design and implement SAP BTP extensions and oversee integrations using IDoc/RFCs, collaborating closely with CPI and BTP teams for modern, API-based interfaces.
- Lead and mentor teams of technical consultants, establishing reusable development patterns, standards, and best practices to scale capability and consistency.
- Drive development solutioning for delivery and pre-sales, presenting technical capabilities to clients and partners, and leading ABAP workstreams across planning, design, build, testing, and cutover.
What you bring to the role- 10+ years SAP ABAP experience, including strong focus on ABAP on HANA and S/4HANA development.
- Hands-on expertise in RAP, CDS, AMDP, OData, BAdIs, forms, and integrations.
- Solid understanding of Clean Core, extensibility options (in-app vs. side-by-side on BTP) and modern S/4HANA architecture.
- Experience working with Agile, DevOps, unit testing, and transport governance.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to guide teams and influence technical decisions.
- Experience with Fiori/UI5 development.
- Good understanding of SAP BTP Extension Suite and relative experience implementing the same.
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $103,000 to $135,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
