Manager, Regulatory Affairs - Consumer Wellness
Location: Lausanne
About your role:
We are building a highly differentiated pipeline of consumer wellness and healthcare products that address unmet medical and consumer needs. Leveraging strong, enabling R&D capabilities, our ambition is to scale responsibly across global markets while navigating complex and evolving regulatory landscapes.
As Manager, Regulatory Affairs (Consumer Wellness), you will be accountable for the execution of global regulatory strategy for assigned products, supporting both new product development and international expansion. This is a highly visible, hands on role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is confident making decisions, and is motivated by building structure where little exists today.
You will join the broader Regulatory Affairs function and will focus primarily on Consumer Wellness products, including focus within vitamins and energy, across EU, UK, and selected international markets. Strong working knowledge of EU and/or UK regulations is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to and execute global regulatory strategy for Consumer Wellness products (primarily dietary and health supplements)
• Assess, interpret, and communicate regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines, applying scientific rationale and risk based approaches where needed
• Navigate regulatory grey zones, including changing product classifications and product placement across markets
• Create and maintain science backed claim substantiation documents and product registration dossiers
• Lead artwork development, optimisation and approval
• Review and approve marketing and promotional materials from a regulatory perspective
• Act as the regulatory representative on cross functional product teams, partnering closely with R&D, Marketing, Legal and Commercial teams
• Support post launch activities to ensure continued compliance across markets
• Monitor, anticipate and communicate regulatory changes and their potential impact on products, timelines and launch plans
• Support decision making in less familiar or emerging markets, including identifying what needs to be investigated and where guidance may be unclear
You will also play a key role in:
• Driving retroactive regulatory work such as creating labelling templates, populating regulatory databases and setting up repeatable frameworks for future launches
• Reviewing and rationalising existing marketing assets across markets such as India and Canada
• Developing a clear messaging and learnings matrix so regulatory knowledge is accessible and scalable for the future
This is an opportunity to build regulatory foundations rather than inherit fixed systems, with significant exposure to global markets and senior stakeholders. This is a culture that values clarity and confident decision making, offering the chance to make a tangible impact as the business grows quickly and responsibly.
Sound like you?
Experience required:
• Bachelor's degree in Regulatory Affairs or other relevant scientific discipline (advanced degree welcome but not required)
• 5+ years' experience in Regulatory Affairs within consumer health, food, dietary supplements or similar regulated products
• Strong working knowledge of EU and/or UK regulations is essential (US experience desirable; Canada, APAC and GCC an advantage)
• Proven experience with registered products, regulatory submissions and applications, label development and approval, claim substantiation and safety research
• Demonstrated ability to break down complex regulatory frameworks and communicate risk, strategy and recommendations clearly and confidently
• Be able to advise beyond immediate expertise by finding answers and building rationale
• Comfortable operating in fast paced, launch oriented environments
• Experience working within matrix, cross functional teams
• A decisive, accountable working style and willing to lead
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required
