ObjectiveThe Regional Business Director, Elios is a field-based commercial leader responsible for driving regional performance, accelerating market adoption, and leading a team of experienced sales professionals within a defined geography. This role is critical to the successful launch and expansion of the Elios franchise and requires a leader who can translate strategy into execution, build momentum in the field, and deliver consistent commercial results in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
The Regional Business Director will be expected to lead from the front - developing talent, cultivating key customer relationships, and creating a culture of accountability, urgency, and performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong ophthalmic surgical industry experience, proven sales leadership capabilities, and a track record of building business in competitive, procedure-driven markets.

Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of seasoned sales representatives across an assigned region to achieve and exceed commercial objectives.
- Drive regional execution of business strategy to accelerate adoption, procedural utilization, and revenue growth for the Elios platform.
- Establish a high-performance culture centered on accountability, disciplined execution, collaboration, and winning in the marketplace.
- Partner closely with direct reports in the field to strengthen account penetration, advance strategic opportunities, and improve selling effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key ophthalmic surgeons, ASC leaders, practice administrators, and other decision-makers across the region.
- Identify market opportunities, competitive threats, and customer needs, and translate insights into actionable regional plans.
- Ensure excellence in forecasting, territory planning, opportunity management, and overall business rigor.
- Serve as a key commercial leader in support of product adoption, customer experience, and long-term franchise growth.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Reimbursement, Clinical, and Sales Training, to support execution and market development.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while raising the performance bar across the region.
- Maintain strong clinical, procedural, and market knowledge within ophthalmic surgery, with particular emphasis on glaucoma and MIGS.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of ophthalmic surgical industry experience required.
- Prior sales leadership experience preferred, including experience managing experienced or high-performing sales professionals.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in glaucoma and MIGS
- Demonstrated track record of delivering strong commercial results and driving growth in a competitive market.
- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop sales talent in a performance-driven environment.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and executional discipline.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned geography.
- Experience supporting the launch or scale-up of innovative surgical technology.
- Strong understanding of procedure-based selling and the ophthalmic surgical customer landscape particularly in the MIGS category.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving commercial environment.
- Executive presence and confidence in engaging both internal leadership and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on field execution.

This is a remote, field-based position that typically requires 25%-75% travel, which may include overnight stays depending on the size of the territory. Candidates must reside within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance-by company vehicle-to the territory's workload center

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $160,000.00 and $200,000.00. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
