Full Job Description
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: No CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 25% of the Time Program Manager 3 to lead the Mission Systems SAP Phase 5 Implementation Project. This role will serve as a key leader and liaison between Mission Systems, the NG Corporate team, and sites across the sector and will be located onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Program Manager will be responsible for the successful convergence and deployment of the next-generation SAP S/4 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (Production Engineering and Operations – PEO) across Mission Systems, including overall project schedule and cost management. The selected individual will develop and maintain strong relationships with the corporate team, pillar systems teams (e.g., Mission PLM), Mission Systems site champions and points of contact, and functional homerooms across the sector. What You’ll Get to Do The primary objective of this role is to serve as the business‑facing Program Manager for the Mission Systems implementation of the Corporate SAP S/4 ERP solution, deployment of the next‑generation MES solution (PEO), and migration of legacy reporting. You will lead a cross‑functional, matrixed organization to align common program goals and deliverables. Program Managers are responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle, including site readiness preparation, requirements review, data conversion, testing, training, deployment, and post‑deployment support. Key responsibilities include management of cost, schedule, risk, milestone deliverables, and cross‑functional coordination, and include but are not limited to: • Manage tactical task execution aligned with Corporate milestones across process teams to support project deliverables such as data cleanup, conversion, and business process testing. • Manage the project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and cost tracking, integrating with Corporate tier‑1 schedules and closely managing critical‑path tasks. • Lead the sector transformation of legacy reporting from existing platforms to next‑generation capabilities. • Work cross‑functionally with other pillar systems teams, including the MS legacy ERP team and Mission PLM (MPLM), to manage project dependencies. • Provide timely and regular Program Management Review briefings to MS executive leadership, MS site leadership, and Corporate leadership. • Attend and support program co‑locations and on‑site engagements at MS deployment sites to represent MS sector business objectives. • Lead cross‑sector teams to ensure site readiness for S/4 migration across ERP, MRP, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Business Management, Reporting, and Change Management. • Oversee and manage the sector change‑management strategy to ensure successful training and site preparation. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline with 6 years of relevant professional experience. • Demonstrated experience leading programs, projects, and/or cross-functional teams that include technical and non-technical functions. • Demonstrated experience supporting SAP and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation, deployment, integration, migration, or transformation activities. • Demonstrated experience managing program or project execution with responsibility for scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and/or deliverables. • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering program reviews, status briefings, and/or executive-level presentations to internal and/or external stakeholders. • Demonstrated experience identifying, evaluating, and resolving complex program or project issues using cost, schedule, technical, and/or business data. • Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional and/or matrixed organization, coordinating activities across multiple functional organizations. • U.S. citizenship required. • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications • Current/active U.S. Government Secret security clearance. • Demonstrated program management experience supporting manufacturing, operations, mission systems, and/or enterprise transformation programs. • Demonstrated experience supporting SAP implementation, migration, deployment, and/or integration activities within a manufacturing or production environment. • Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience and/or certification, including experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. • Demonstrated experience with program cost estimating, forecasting, variance analysis, and/or Estimate at Completion (EAC) development. Primary Level Salary Range: $193,000.00 - $289,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
