Job Description Summary
The Manager, Group Billing Operations leads remote teams responsible for premium processing, cash application, and billing support for employer-sponsored benefits. This role partners closely with offshore BPO teams, customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues, manage escalations, and ensure operational excellence. The position also provides team leadership, coaching, and performance management while driving process improvements through data and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Lead remote teams responsible for premium processing, cash application, and group billing operations.
  • Set team objectives, establish priorities, and ensure operational goals are achieved.
  • Manage team performance through coaching, development, performance reviews, and employee relations activities.
  • Partner with offshore BPO teams, brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and escalations.
  • Oversee complex billing exceptions, payment discrepancies, and cash application processes.
  • Analyze operational data and reporting to monitor performance and support business decisions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships and ensure effective communication across teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience working in an operations environment.
  • Two years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities under pressure.
  • Ability to grasp technical and complex concepts and convey to staff and internal/external customers.
  • Proficient using MS Office products.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the insurance/financial services industry.

Compensation:

The salary for this position generally ranges between $85,000-$95,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion.
