As Manager, Operations, Fund Oversight, you will join our Global Fund Oversight team in Montreal and play a key leadership role in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for Manulife's internally and externally managed funds. We are looking for a results-driven leader with strong investment accounting expertise and a deep understanding of financial markets to oversee day-to-day operations, operational support and file reviews. Beyond daily delivery, you will help shape the future of fund oversight by strengthening controls, optimizing processes, identifying synergies and building trusted, influential relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
In this role, you will lead meaningful initiatives, contribute to key projects and stay current on evolving accounting and regulatory reporting requirements. You will also serve as a role model and mentor, sharing your expertise, developing junior team members and inspiring active participation across the team's priorities and projects.
Responsibilities:- Support short- and long-term planning and help deliver fund oversight operational goals.
- Collaborate with team leaders, partners and stakeholders to maintain an integrated view of business-as-usual deliverables and processes.
- Implement and validate procedural changes, maintain documentation and support change management initiatives.
- Manage vendor queries and resolve emerging operational issues using sound judgment and effective prioritization.
- Identify high-risk processes, recommend mitigating controls and strengthen the future control environment.
- Drive process improvements, efficiencies and synergies, with flexibility to support peak periods and international partners outside regular business hours when required.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; a CPA or other financial designation is an asset.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of three years in a managerial or team lead role.
- Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
- Strong knowledge of fund and investment accounting, securities, settlements, foreign exchange transactions and reconciliations.
- Results-oriented and adaptable, with the ability to respond quickly, meet tight deadlines and take ownership.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented and highly accurate, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary range is expected to be between$88,800.00 CAD - $138,800.00 CAD
