Managing in a hospital environment requires supporting staffing, working with vendors, handling budgets etc. It, also, gives you the opportunity to direct operations that directly impact the health care of others.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT- Manage the staff and daily operations of a busy OB unit and help jump in and assist staff as needed.
- Prepare, manage and control budget, monitor and analyze variances.
- Direct employees to meet all mandatory Human Resource requirements.
- Complete performance appraisal of staff members.
- Quality compliance.
- Oversee the process of assuring the clinical competence of personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care - Required
- 5 years Nursing/Patient Care - Required
- 2 years Previous managerial experience with demonstrated leadership skills --- Preferred
- 2 years previous Nursing experience in OB - Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board in state of practice - Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
- Licensure - Nursing Leadership Licensure within 36 months - Preferred
- Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance - Required if required by unit
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - The American Academy of Pediatrics - Required if required by unit
