Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Support the management, configuration and execution of mortgage pricing activities:
• Monitor the competitive landscape, key performance indicators and impact of pricing strategies on growth and profitability
• Perform and review optimization scenarios and recommend changes to channel level and customer segment level mortgage rates
• Quantify, execute and monitor impact of pricing changes
• Manage reporting on the key performance indicators for the mortgage portfolio:
• Deliver business insights by effectively leveraging technical tools including SAS Enterprise Guide, Base SAS, Python and Power BI for all management reporting activities
• Support the continuous improvement of tools and reports that inform mortgage pricing and product analytics going forward
• Ensure data feeds that support analysis are available and accurate
• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
• Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

Skills

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
• Bachelor's degree (Business/Math/Computer Science/Information Systems)2+ years of analytics experience
• Knowledge & experience of utilizing tools such as SAS Enterprise Guide, Base SAS, Python, Power BI and Tableau for reporting and analytics
• Knowledge of SQL, and experience of working on enterprise data warehouse platforms and enterprise data lake platforms (DB2/SQL Server/Hadoop)
• Ability to source and interpret data, perform analyses and make informed recommendations
• Good written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders
• Good understanding of quantitative analytics and management reporting
• Nice to have: Pricing methodological knowledge including quantification of customer value and price elasticity of demand, Working knowledge of Sales Management and the Retail Sales Process
• Experience and familiarity with analytic processes and fact-based decision making
• A high degree of flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and changing priorities
