Summary :The Manager for Invasive Diagnostics provides operational management of the cardiac catheterization lab and cardiovascular special procedures areas across multiple sites and locations. Manages daily operations of the assigned areas including administrative, fiscal, and clinical/technical activities to ensure high quality health care services. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local license requirements to maintain high level of quality standards. Develops department initiatives that focus on team member engagement and not limited to and including providers process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Serves as a resource and facilitates collaboration between team members and other healthcare disciplines throughout ThedaCare and within the healthcare community.
Job Description:This is for our Cath Lab department supporting both Appleton and Neenah campuses. Hours are primarily day shift, with the need to have flexibility to shift due to the needs of the business.
Appleton: The Cardiovascular Lab consists of 4 rooms (with fluoroscopy) and is a fast paced dept. The team provides intraprocedural care for patients having minimally invasive procedures in the field of Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and Peripheral Vascular. The team provides care for patients having cardiac catheterization (diagnostic and intervention including STEMI), pacemaker and defibrillator insertions, cardiac ablations, nephrostomy tube placement, vertebroplasty, biliary tube placements, lower extremity and peripheral angiograms/interventions. The team also provides care to vascular patients in the OR Hybrid room.
Neenah:ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah has a long history of providing stroke care for the communities in Northeast and Central Wisconsin. The hospital was one of the first certified Primary Stroke Centers in the state, and is now the fifth hospital in Wisconsin to be recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
The Specials Department consists of 2 rooms (with fluoroscopy) and is a fast paced dept. The team provides intraprocedural care for patients having minimally invasive procedures in the field of Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, and Peripheral Vascular. The team provides care for patients having strokes, cardiac catheterization, nephrostomy tube placement, vertebroplasty, biliary tube placements, lower extremity and peripheral angiograms/interventions.

- Ensures appropriate staffing to achieve outcomes within units.
- Develops performance expectations, coaches, evaluates, and motivates team members. Investigates complaints and performance concerns.
- Creates performance metrics, reports, and improvement targets to align with strategic initiatives.
- Evaluates and analyzes the results of programs and services for effectiveness, innovation, and growth. Reports these results to leadership teams.
- Participates in Thedacare sponsored and other community events that promotes the organization and the Cardiovascular Service Line.
Qualifications- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing or Radiologic Technologist (RTR) Five years of progressive leadership in a healthcare setting that includes leading teams and projects relevant to Cardiology and or Cath Labs.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and (ACLS) or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse License is required or Radiologic Technologist (RTR)
Physical Demands- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
- Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
Work Environment- Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments.
