This pivotal role within a Fortune 200 technology company focuses on leading global tax strategy, cross-border planning, and international compliance during a period of rapid organizational transformation. The position navigates complex global tax landscapes, optimizes transfer pricing policies, and mitigates potential international tax exposures while ensuring alignment with evolving local and foreign regulations. Collaborating closely with regional finance teams, cross-functional business units, and foreign tax advisors, this role drives strategic alignment while modernizing international tax workflows through advanced technology and data analytics. Success requires a balance of sophisticated technical research-spanning BEPS, GILTI, FTCs, and local country tax law-and the ability to articulate complex global tax positions to executive leadership.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
  • Lead the calculation, review, and reporting of international tax components for quarterly and annual financial statements under ASC 740, including valuation allowance analyses, APB 23 assertions, and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48)
  • Manage end-to-end transfer pricing strategy, including intercompany transactions, local master/local file documentation, benchmarking analysis, and operational execution across global entities
  • Direct the preparation and review of international U.S. consolidated tax return filings (Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118), key U.S. calculations (GILTI, Subpart F, FTC, BEAT), and oversee local foreign subsidiary filings
  • Lead the strategy, data modeling, compliance workflows, and implementation for OECD Pillar Two Global Minimum Tax requirements across operating jurisdictions
  • Drive cross-border tax structuring, supply chain optimizations, and M&A transactions while managing U.S. outbound and local non-U.S. tax authority examinations
  • Partner with finance and technology teams to modernize and automate international tax workflows using enterprise software, data analytics, and AI-driven data modeling solutions

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):
  • Technical and functional mastery of ASC 740, U.S. international tax provisions (GILTI, FTC, Subpart F), OECD Pillar Two rules, and core transfer pricing methodologies
  • Executive presence and communication skills to convey complex international tax risks, strategies, and quantitative analyses to non-tax leadership
  • Critical thinking, advanced financial modeling, and quantitative problem-solving capabilities within high-growth, dynamic corporate environments
  • AI literacy and application capabilities to evaluate, adopt, and integrate automated tax technologies, ERP data extraction, and machine learning tools into compliance workflows
  • Strategic oversight and project management expertise to direct global cross-functional teams, external advisors, and cross-border M&A transactions independently

Additional Qualifications:
  • Active CPA or state Bar license
  • Experience with enterprise tax provision software such as Longview Tax, Corptax, or ONESOURCE
  • Hands-on experience extracting and analyzing tax data within large ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
  • Advanced Excel financial modeling skills for complex cross-border tax calculations, scenario planning, and data analytics

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (J.D. or Master's in Taxation preferred)
  • Minimum Experience: 6+ years of progressive international tax experience within a Big 4 accounting firm, large multinational corporate tax department, or law firm, with an extensive focus on U.S. outbound international tax concepts
