Location: Pittsburgh, PA Classification: Exempt Status: Full-Time
Purpose: Under supervision of the Senior Vice President, Business Operations, the Manager, Human Resources will assist with development and maintenance of processes and procedures related to all HR functions including but not limited to talent acquisition, performance management, benefits administration, payroll and employee relations/corrective action in a new and quickly growing specialty pharmacy. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Business Operations.
Responsibilities:- Manage the full cycle recruitment and talent acquisition process including phone screens, scheduling and conducting interviews, maintaining new hire paperwork, advertising postings, sourcing candidates, and managing I-9 documentation.
- Maintain and enhance company onboarding program for seamless integration into company culture.
- Ensure all new hires complete compliance related new hire training program and work to develop training program as needed.
- Assist in organizational training and development efforts.
- Coordinate benefits to establish and maintain employee benefits selections through yearly open enrollment process and manage execution of related payroll deductions as well as benefits administration to include enrollments, terminations, change reporting and assisting employees with coverage questions and issues.
- Act as point of contact for third party retirement administrators and assist with the 401K(k) employee enrollment process and related payroll deductions.
- Process workers comp injury and OSHA documentation as needed while maintaining Department of Labor requirements.
- Conduct periodic reviews of pay grades and compensation structures to ensure alignment with market data, job responsibilities, and organizational needs.
- Administer FMLA and LOA's requests for all employees.
- Complete all exit interviews and communicates all trends to leadership.
- Serve as a primary organizational contact for employee relations guidance and support
- Conduct internal investigations and makes recommendations for corrective action as needed.
- Maintain compliance with contracted and regulatory obligations as they relate to training, hiring, onboarding and performance management.
- Regularly audit employment files to ensure compliance with internal procedure and regulatory or contractual needs
- Contract and maintain relationship(s) with third party HR vendors (EAP, ATS, HRIS, employee recognition platform, company store, etc.).
- Provide audit and compliance support for internal auditing, as well as for accreditations like URAC, ACHC, SOC1, HITRUST, etc.
- Assist in payroll administration for all employees.
- Maintain, create, and update human resources policies and procedures as needed.
- Manage and make updates to the employee handbook as needed.
- Advise Leadership regarding changes in employment legislation that impacts VRP employees.
- Review and update staff training needs.
- Roll out annual performance management for all employees.
- Monitor and sends all staff communications related to annual mandatory training completion.
- Assist in organizational training and development efforts.
- Leadership in organizing and supporting corporate cultural efforts, including events, campaigns, the company's recognition platform, the company store, and other corporate culture initiatives
- Create basic advertising graphics to promote recruiting and cultural efforts
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the HRIS system as needed.
Required Qualifications:- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- 7-10 years of Human Resources experience required with significant knowledge in employment law, compensation, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, and employee engagement.
- Ability to work with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
- Proactive problem-solving skills combined with excellent interpersonal, judgment, negotiation, analytic, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer functions/programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
Preferred Qualifications:- 3-5 years of experience with Employee Relations Investigations, Benefits Enrollment processes and procedures, and Workers Compensation
Work Environment: Vanscoy Rare offers a hybrid work structure, combining remote work and in-office requirements. The frequency of onsite requirements will vary depending on role, operational needs, meetings, client visits, or team collaboration activities. Employees must be within commuting distance to Pittsburgh, PA, and able to report to the office when needed. We will provide advance notice when possible. When telecommuting, employees must have reliable internet access to utilize required systems and software required for the position's responsibilities.
