Manages the delivery, administration, and continuous improvement of Children's health and welfare benefits, wellbeing, and tuition assistance programs. Translates benefits strategy into effective operational plans, processes, communications, and employee experiences. Leads the benefits team and partners with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure programs are administered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. Leverages data, technology, employee feedback, and operational insights to enhance service delivery, strengthen program effectiveness, and reduce administrative complexity.

Experience


  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in health and welfare benefits, wellbeing programs, Total Rewards, Human Resources, benefits consulting, benefits administration, or a related field
  • Experience leading, coaching, and directing the work of team members and cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex benefits processes, annual enrollment cycles, implementations, or operational initiatives.
  • Experience managing carrier, vendor, consultant, and third-party administrator relationships and service performance
  • Experience using data, reporting, and operational metrics to identify issues, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend improvements
  • Experience partnering across HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, HR Technology, Employee Health, and other business functions.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with process improvement, technology implementation, automation, or service-delivery enhancement preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • CEBS or other relevant benefits or Human Resources certification.
  • Experience with Workday or a comparable human capital management platform.
  • Experience with benefits administration platforms and vendor integrations.

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

Job Responsibilities


  • Manage the day-to-day administration and delivery of Children's health and welfare benefits, wellbeing, and tuition assistance programs, ensuring accurate, timely, compliant, and employee-focused execution.
  • Translate benefits strategy and program decisions into effective operational plans, processes, system requirements, communications, and implementation activities.
  • Lead annual benefits processes, including Open Enrollment, new hire enrollment, plan changes, employee communications, system readiness, testing, and post-enrollment reconciliation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the benefits team by establishing clear expectations, assigning responsibilities, monitoring performance, and building individual and team capability.
  • Manage carrier, consultant, and third-party administrator relationships related to day-to-day service delivery, operational performance, issue resolution, data accuracy, and employee experience.
  • Establish and monitor service expectations, operational metrics, controls, and reporting to identify trends, address performance concerns, and improve results.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex benefits administration and employee service matters, ensuring timely resolution and identification of underlying process or service issues.
  • Partner with the Director, Benefits to evaluate program performance, utilization, employee feedback, market developments, and opportunities for program or service improvement.
  • Develop recurring reporting and actionable insights related to enrollment, utilization, service performance, employee inquiries, vendor effectiveness, and operational outcomes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, strengthen controls, improve self-service, and enhance the employee and family experience.
  • Partner with HR technology and internal stakeholders to define business requirements, support system configuration, conduct testing, and ensure benefits processes and integrations operate effectively.
  • Coordinate benefits communications, education, and engagement activities to help employees understand and effectively use available programs and resources.
  • Partner with the HR Services Center and other employee-facing teams to support consistent, accurate, and high-quality benefits service.
  • Support benefits audits, regulatory filings, plan documentation, required notices, testing, and other activities necessary to maintain compliance.
  • Monitor operating expenses and vendor charges within assigned areas, identify discrepancies or emerging concerns, and support reporting and financial stewardship.
