Full Job Description
About the Role:

The Global Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing Subway's relationships with its largest Food Service Contractor (FSC) partners - Aramark, Compass, and Sodexo - across the College/University, Healthcare, and Stadium/Arena channels, as well as the AAFES (Army & Air Force Exchange Service) and NEXCOM military exchange accounts. This role is the subject matter expert for these captive, Non-Traditional channels, which represent some of the only key locations in the U.S. where Subway can meaningfully grow restaurant count. This role also partners with the Franchise Sales Team to generate new restaurant leads and supports the franchise sale process for corporate franchisees.

The goal of this role is to make these partners want to grow with the Subway brand: supporting their operations, improving unit-level economics, and understanding what each partner values most in the partnership so that Subway can match it. Global Account Managers act as the liaison between Subway's field teams and these corporate franchisee/business partners, managing a specific portfolio of the non-traditional business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Relationship Management - Serve as the primary point of contact and executive relationship owner for the company's Food Service Contractor (Aramark, Compass, Sodexo) and military exchange (AAFES, NEXCOM) partners. Build and sustain trusted, collaborative partnerships that give these partners the support and open communication they need to run a great restaurant and deliver an excellent guest experience consistent with the Subway brand.
  • Partner Growth - Drive year-over-year growth across the FSC and AAFES/NEXCOM portfolio through an annual account plan. Develop an intimate understanding of each partner's business and unit-level economics to uncover growth opportunities - same-restaurant sales growth, new restaurant development, and improved unit economics - and understand what each partner values most in the relationship so Subway can match it. Hosting and presenting Quarterly Business Reviews with these key accounts.
  • Operations, Training & Standards - Support partner operations teams to improve unit-level economics and operational performance; provide guidance on brand standards, training, and compliance across College/University, Healthcare, Stadium/Arena, and AAFES locations.
  • New Business Development - Partner with the Franchise Sales Team and each FSC/military partner's development team to identify, evaluate, and open new restaurant locations, prioritizing captive, non-traditional locations, which represent one of the few remaining U.S. growth channels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of Progressive experience in national/key account management, foodservice, contract management, or franchise operations, ideally within the restaurant, hospitality, or foodservice contractor industry
  • Strong executive presence and relationship-management skills with large, sophisticated corporate partners (FSC operators, military exchange organizations)
  • Deep understanding of unit-level economics and the ability to translate P&L levers into partner-facing recommendations
  • Consultative, partnership-oriented approach; ability to identify what a partner values and tailor Subway's support accordingly
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Operations, Development, Marketing, Legal, and Finance. Team Player.
  • Contract and franchise agreement literacy; comfort navigating approval, waiver, and legal/commercial processes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and executive presentation skills (QBR/EBR delivery)
  • Ability to manage a large, multi-account portfolio and prioritize across competing partner needs
  • Familiarity with the college/university, healthcare, stadium/arena, or military exchange foodservice environment preferred
