Job Summary

The Manager, Fleet Performance - Marine Operations plays a central role within the Marine Operations organization, responsible for driving fleetwide performance across systems, processes, and people. This position serves as the primary performance lead, ensuring alignment and accountability across shipboard and shoreside marine operations teams while optimizing the use and functionality of all marine systems. Through strong crossfunctional collaboration and a focus on continuous improvement, this position ensures that marine systems are fully utilized, performance is monitored effectively, and operational excellence is consistently achieved across the fleet.

Essential Duties:
  • Drive fleet-wide marine performance across systems, establishing clear performance expectations for shipboard teams.
  • Identify gaps across our fleet and drive process improvement through standardization.
  • Champion effective use of marine digital systems onboard, ensuring data quality, consistency, and meaningful operational use.
  • Monitor and drive performance of defect management and issue tracking systems (e.g., IssueTrax), ensuring trends are reviewed, actions are assigned, and resolutions are timely.
  • Drive PMS engagement and database quality through the shipboard teams, supporting continuous improvement of maintenance planning, history accuracy, and fleetwide standardization.
  • Partner with IT to align system enhancements and roadmaps with operational needs and performance objectives.
  • Partner with HR to ensure fleet par levels and manning plans are maintained, supporting vessels with forward-looking planning and proactive gap management.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across marine teams.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Director of Fleet Performance, including procurement activities, invoice approvals, issue escalation management, onboard committee meeting coordination, and fulfillment of ad hoc requests.
  • Provide regular fleet performance reporting to leadership, highlighting risks, trends, opportunities, and measurable progress for both people and systems.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in marine operations, fleet management, or a related maritime role, preferably within the luxury cruise, yachting, or complex marine operations environment
  • Demonstrated experience driving fleet or multi-vessel performance, including system adoption and operational execution
  • Working knowledge of marine digital systems, such as PMS, defect management, and issue tracking platforms, and an ability to champion effective onboard use
  • Cross-departmental experience working in close partnership with HR, Training, Safety, and IT functions, with a clear understanding of shared ownership and accountability boundaries
  • Strong understanding of marine staffing models, manning requirements, and par level planning, with the ability to translate operational needs into workforce strategies
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level performance reporting and presenting insights to senior leadership
  • High level of organizational discipline, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and performance reporting tools; experience with maritime or enterprise fleet systems is strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel to yachts, corporate offices, or shipyards on a quarterly basis or ad hoc basis
