As Engineering Manager for Sales Planning, you will lead the team responsible for a recently launched product that helps sales organizations plan quotas, territory design, and team capacity with accuracy, auditability, and scale. This is a high-leverage role at the intersection of product strategy, technical architecture, and execution.

You will partner closely with Product, Design, and platform and application teams in an API-, platform-, and AI-first environment. This role is a strong fit if you enjoy working at the intersection of product strategy, architecture, and operations, and are excited by building deeply powerful but approachable tools for expert users with complex workflows, including thoughtful AI-enabled functionality that helps users move faster and make better decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a distributed engineering team with a strong culture of trust, accountability, and high-quality execution.
  • Partner with Product and Design to shape roadmap, scope, and product strategy for Sales Planning.
  • Drive delivery of customer-facing capabilities across quota planning, territory design, and capacity planning, balancing speed, usability, reliability, and scale.
  • Coach engineers across levels, from junior through staff, and create opportunities for technical leadership and growth across the team.
  • Set technical direction and architectural guardrails, working with engineers and partner teams to make sound long-term tradeoffs.
  • Improve team execution through better planning, operating rhythms, dependency management, and measurement of outcomes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of engineering management experience, including people management, roadmap planning, and cross-functional execution.
  • Experience building and scaling early-stage or newly launched products.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to work closely with Product and Design on ambiguous, high-impact problems.
  • Track record of leading teams that ship reliable customer-facing systems.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfort operating in startup environments with evolving requirements and significant ownership.
  • Bias toward measuring impact and using data to inform decisions.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience in the B2B SaaS market
  • Experience with financial modeling products
  • Experience building AI-enabled features or products
