The Houston Credit Risk Team within the Risk Management Group partners closely with the Commodity Markets and Finance desks, providing risk oversight across hedging, lending and physical transactions predominately in the Energy sector.

In this role you will manage the credit risk of a diverse portfolio of counterparties operating across the Energy sector. You will conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative credit assessments, prepare detailed written analysis and recommendations, set internal ratings, propose credit limits and participate in the annual portfolio credit review process. You will also collaborate with the front office and other stakeholders and provide review and risk based recommendations on new transactions and structures

- 3-5 years in Credit Risk or related roles
- Strong foundation in financial analysis, with an understanding of evaluating financial statements to determine creditworthiness
- Sounds judgement in identifying and evaluate key risks in structured transactions and anticipating potential challenges
- An ability to communicate effectively at all levels with risk colleagues and front office internal stakeholders
- Familiarity with both financial and physical commodity products
- Experience in the energy sector, including upstream financing, power, gas and oil is beneficial although not essential
