Overview

The Manager, Analytics and Reporting , under the direction of the Analytics and Reporting Director, will lead a team of analysts who are responsible for delivering high-quality, timely, and accessible data and insights to inform and report on Central Health's quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. The Manager will track data requests, coordinate work assignments, implement data quality assurance strategies, stand up Quality dashboards to ensure ongoing and consistent reporting, ensure documentation of data processes and maintain a Quality metrics portfolio, assist with the coordination of Central Health's Quality Committee meeting. In addition, the Manager will assume all HR functions and duties required in the management of direct reports.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Track data requests, coordinate work assignments, implement data quality assurance strategies, ensure documentation of data processes and maintain a Quality metrics portfolio.
  • Lead the initiation, planning and development of data collection processes and analyses for Central Healths Quality and Performance Improvement initiatives.
  • Function as a data and evaluation subject matter expert for Quality initiatives
  • Function as a subject matter expert on survey design and sampling methodology
  • Helps coordinate Central Healths Quality Committee agenda and meeting run of show
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret program evaluation or data report requirement specifications.
  • Utilize various scripting languages to manipulate datasets, extract data and create staging tables to prepare data foranalysis.
  • Perform quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis and prepare results to share with internal and external customers.
  • Build fully or partially automated statistical models with the use of statistical applications and scripting languages.
  • Oversee the design and build of Quality reporting dashboards.
  • Manage data gathered and define database requirements if needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data anomalies and irregularities.
  • Become a data subject matter expert (SME) with Central Health data sets, understanding various sources andapplications.
  • Serve as a HIPAA compliance expert.
  • Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of current epidemiological, bio-statistical and Healthcare Quality principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with statistical tools and software programs, e.g. SAS, R, Python.
  • Ability to perform moderate to complex analyses and data queries using T-SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with data confidentiality and security procedures.
  • Perform complex operations in Microsoft Excel 2016 and newer.
  • Ability to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas as indicated by audience.
  • Experience with mapping tools (ArcGIS, Tableau), familiarity with mapping with geocodes, census tracts and blockgroups.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college in Public Health, with a concentration in epidemiology or biostatistics

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 years experience with data management and statistical analysis
  • 2 years of regulatory metrics reporting
  • 3 years of experience identifying appropriate quality metrics for health care interventions
  • 2 years of experience managing a project Required And
  • 3 years of experience using statistical analysis software such as SAS, R, or Python
  • 3 years of experience using SQL for database queries

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality within 6 Months
