THE JOBAs
Tour Marketing Director - Comedy, you'll lead the marketing strategy and execution for assigned comedy tours and shows, partnering with artists and their teams, venues, media partners and local marketers to drive awareness and ticket sales. You'll oversee campaigns from initial planning through execution, bringing together paid media, promotions, publicity, social and grassroots marketing while managing multiple tour marketing budgets and ensuring each campaign is tailored to the artist, show and market.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO- Oversee marketing, promotions and public relations for various touring comedians
- Create, develop, implement and execute strategic marketing plans for individual shows and tours.
- Place and negotiate print, online, radio and TV buys
- Develop contesting and incentives with media and promotional partners.
- Spearhead grassroots campaigns including scheduling street teams
- Market research to find efficient ways to market shows
- Work with venue box office to confirm and set up on-sales/pre-sales, check ticket audits for accuracy
- Create and execute social media marketing campaigns, including building and managing Facebook and Twitter accounts
- Establish/implement wide range of promotions using radio, print, TV, flyaway sweepstakes and online
- Work with artist publicists to solicit national and local media outlets for press coverage
- Build and exploit online/database resources
- Cultivate key professional relationships with agents, managers, public relations agencies and artists.
- Design and create marketing materials
- Maintain relationships with local and venue marketers
- Manage multiple marketing budgets simultaneously
- Responsible for collecting and paying invoices in a timely manner
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING- 4 year degree or 4 years experience in marketing/public relations/project management in lieu of a degree
- Excellent communication skill
- Entertainment/Concert industry experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Interest in comedy & pop culture
- Willing to work long hours and weekends

The expected compensation for this position is:
$88,000.00 USD - $110,000.00 USD
** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
