About this roleWe are looking for a Litigation Associate with 2-7 years of defense litigation experience to join a close-knit, 16-attorney firm that's been in business since 1985. What will you be doing?- Managing a full caseload of general defense litigation (primarily premises liability) from inception through resolution
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Representing clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Collaborating directly with senior partners on trial prep, legal strategy, and client communication
- Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents
Key Requirements- 2-7 years of general defense litigation experience (must know how to get to court and navigate the basics)
- Familiarity with New York courts - NYC and Long Island jurisdictions
- Deposition experience required
- Long-term mindset - no job hoppers; looking for someone who wants to grow with the firm
- Salary expectations aligned with Long Island market (not Manhattan pay scale)
