Full Job Description
Role Summary: This role reports into the Director, Customer Success & Innovation and is part of the Data & Technology (D&T) customer success and innovation function. In this role, you will help translate business priorities into practical technology, data, automation, and AI-enabled opportunities that improve outcomes for OMERS business partners. You will support customer roadmaps, synthesize requirements, prepare advisory materials, and help drive adoption of D&T products and services across investment-related workflows. You will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the development of customer roadmaps that prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer value, risk, and technology feasibility.
  • Partnering with business teams to understand objectives, workflows, pain points, and opportunities where technology, data, automation, or AI can improve outcomes.
  • Documenting business needs, user stories, requirements, adoption considerations, and decision points in a clear, action-oriented way.
  • Building trusted relationships with business stakeholders and D&T teams to connect customer needs with available products, services, and expertise.
  • Analyzing customer feedback, usage data, discovery insights, and workflow observations to identify themes, gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Identifying practical AI enablement opportunities across research, due diligence, knowledge management, reporting, workflow automation, portfolio monitoring, and document-intensive processes.
  • Helping business teams understand appropriate AI use cases, limitations, risks, and adoption considerations, including generative AI assistants and emerging agentic workflows.
  • Leading workstream-level analysis, discovery interviews, workshops, and problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
  • Synthesizing findings into clear insights, options, recommendations, and implementation considerations for business and technology stakeholders.
  • Supporting proof-of-concept activities, workflow assessments, adoption planning, and change enablement with product, engineering, data, architecture, risk, and security teams.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in technology, consulting, strategy, customer success, business analysis, product, data, or investment technology roles.
  • Experience supporting technology-enabled transformation, ideally within financial services, investment management, Private Markets, Capital Markets, or a comparable environment.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business priorities into practical technology, data, automation, and AI opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into practical language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, structure, and synthesize requirements, user stories, decision points, insights, recommendations, and implementation considerations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, influence without direct authority, and work effectively across business and technology teams.
  • Curiosity about business processes and confidence to challenge established thinking in a constructive, evidence-based way.
  • Strong prioritization, organizational skills, independent judgment, and comfort navigating ambiguity in an environment with competing priorities.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Understanding of the investment lifecycle and how technology, data, workflow tools, and AI can support investment professionals and operational teams.
  • Experience or exposure to Private Markets, Capital Markets, investment management, or comparable financial services environments.
  • Demonstrated fluency with enterprise AI platforms and generative AI assistants, including Microsoft Copilot and comparable solutions such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
  • Ability to coach, train, and support business users in responsible prompting, use case identification, workflow integration, and AI adoption best practices.
  • Experience identifying or supporting AI proof-of-concept opportunities, including defining success criteria, workflow impacts, adoption readiness, risks, limitations, and implementation considerations.
  • Comfort working with data, dashboards, workflow documentation, and analytical outputs; SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Platform, or automation experience is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or a related field; advanced AI training, certifications, or investment/technology training are assets.

This posting is for an existing vacancy. The expected salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract. You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans 6 details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
