Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction administration tasks including shop drawing reviews and RFIs.

Full Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Structural Engineer who is passionate about the construction process to lead structural building design out of our White Plains, NY office. At OneFourTwo, every associate is empowered to drive their success. You'll be responsible for project performance and profit from day one! A Day in the Life: • Manage projects and communicate with clients, technical drafting staff, and others outside the project team • Prepare preliminary designs for clients • Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design • Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers • Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction • Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy • Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams Necessary Qualifications: • BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering • 5+ years of structural engineering building design experience (commercial experience is ideal) • Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design • Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is required • Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or ability to obtain within 6 months What We Can Offer You: We are dedicated to the well-being of our associates and our offices are consistently recognized as a 'Best Place to Work'. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to the base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
