Job Summary: The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical execution teams, driving enterprise data modernization initiatives. With over 14 years of experience, the BSA is responsible for understanding complex legacy data ecosystems, translating business requirements into technical blueprints, and guiding cross-functional teams through end-to-end data platform migrations. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure business continuity, data integrity, and seamless operational alignment during legacy SAS platform transformations to modern AWS cloud architectures.
Responsibilities:- Lead requirement-gathering workshops with key business stakeholders to uncover operational needs and legacy system dependencies.
- Analyze legacy SAS code, data pipelines, and reporting logic to document existing business rules and data flows.
- Create detailed functional specification documents, user stories, and target-state architecture workflows for cloud engineering teams.
- Perform end-to-end data mapping from source legacy databases and SAS datasets into modern target cloud structures and data catalogs.
- Design and execute end-to-end user acceptance testing (UAT) frameworks and data validation strategies to verify migration accuracy.
