Job Title: Lead Scientist, Process Analytical Technology
Location: Portsmouth, NH (On-site)
We are looking for an Analytical Lead Scientist to join our Research & Development team in Portsmouth, NH. In this role, you will lead experimental programs supporting the development and implementation of Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) for mammalian manufacturing processes. You will drive scientific innovation, lead complex technical projects, and collaborate across functions to support the development of PAT for next-generation manufacturing processes.
This role follows a Monday-Friday, 8:00am 6:30PM schedule.

What you will do:
- Lead complex scientific projects and work packages from planning through execution
- Design and implement innovative PAT solutions that improve process understanding and performance
- Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and scientific outcomes
- Support technology transfer, scalability, and regulatory compliance activities
- Analyze complex datasets and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders
- Mentor scientists and help develop technical capabilities across the team
- Build relationships with internal and external scientific partners
- Contribute to intellectual property, publications, and future technology offerings
- Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
- Experience working within a biotechnology, biologics, or biopharmaceutical laboratory environment
- Strong expertise in scientific method development, experimental design, and data analysis
- Experience leading technical projects and delivering results in complex environments
- Ability to solve scientific and operational challenges using sound technical judgment
- Experience working across multiple functions and influencing key stakeholders
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to mentor and develop scientific talent
