Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).
The RoleResponsibilities:- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level web applications and services.
- Architect and develop microservices using Java with Spring Boot, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with various systems and third-party services.
- Develop, test, and deploy front-end applications using Angular, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly interface.
- Work with Kafka for event-driven architecture, stream processing, and real-time data ingestion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers within the team.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation.
- Participate in architectural discussions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions.
Requirements:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong professional experience in Java full stack development.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience working with Kafka and building event-driven systems.
- Proficiency in front-end development using Angular (version 8+ preferred).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of API design, data modeling, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to architect scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred, but not required:- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
