Job Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Technician IV to provide advanced hands-on technical support across our engineering organization, supporting the development, integration, test, troubleshooting, and transition of complex electronic products and systems.

The ideal candidate is a highly capable, hands-on technician comfortable working in engineering lab environments alongside RF, Digital Hardware/FPGA, Embedded Software, Automated Test, Systems, and Manufacturing Engineering teams. This individual will support hardware integration, lab testing, test equipment and fixtures, troubleshooting, and product transition while developing capabilities in automated test and scripting.

This role will help improve engineering efficiency by enabling engineers to remain focused on higher-complexity design and development activities while providing skilled technical execution across programs.

Job Responsibilities

    • Provide hands-on lab support for development, integration, troubleshooting, verification, and test of complex electronic products and subsystems
    • Support RF, Digital Hardware/FPGA, Embedded Software, Automated Test, Systems, and Manufacturing Engineering activities across multiple programs
    • Set up, configure, operate, and maintain engineering lab and test equipment
    • Support circuit card, module, and unit-level hardware bring-up, integration, troubleshooting, and test
    • Assemble, modify, troubleshoot, and repair electronic hardware, cables, harnesses, test fixtures, and interface assemblies
    • Support prototype builds, hardware modifications, component replacement, rework, and engineering configuration changes
    • Set up and execute engineering test procedures and collect, document, and communicate test results
    • Assist engineers in isolating failures across hardware, firmware/software, instrumentation, fixtures, cabling, and test configurations
    • Support RF test activities using equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, and other instrumentation
    • Support software and firmware teams with target hardware setup, programming/configuration, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and integration activities
    • Support development and maintenance of test fixtures, engineering test stations, and Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
    • Support development, maintenance, and execution of Functional Test Procedures (FTPs) and other engineering/manufacturing test documentation
    • Support manufacturing test troubleshooting and transition of engineering test solutions into production
    • Support integration, verification & validation (IV&V), qualification, and other formal engineering test activities
    • Develop proficiency with LabVIEW, Python, or similar tools to support basic test automation, instrument control, data collection, and engineering utilities
    • Maintain lab equipment, configurations, documentation, calibration status, and general lab readiness
    • Provide hands-on feedback to engineers regarding hardware, testability, fixtures, assembly, and lab execution
    • Mentor less experienced technicians and contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and reuse of engineering test capabilities
