Full Job Description
MobilityWare is looking for a relationship-driven community builder to help build and grow a connected, trusted, and engaged community around Spades. This role will shape our community approach, build meaningful relationships, develop scalable programs, and create opportunities for players to connect and deepen their involvement. The strongest candidate knows how to earn trust, bring people together, and turn community insight into meaningful opportunities for players and the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an early-stage strategy to build and grow an engaged player community, including the operating approach and measures of success.
  • Serve as the voice of the player by gathering feedback and translating community insight, cultural context, sentiment, and risks into actionable recommendations.
  • Build authentic, two-way relationships with players, community leaders, and relevant external partners.
  • Develop and run scalable programs across appropriate digital and in-person touchpoints that encourage participation, connection, and long-term engagement.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, which owns core positioning and brand voice, to adapt that foundation for community settings and lead day-to-day community expression, editorial judgment, and execution.
  • Identify player achievements, perspectives, and moments worth sharing; surface them to Creative, Marketing, and PR and collaborate on story development and distribution.
  • Establish community standards, moderation and escalation practices, and responsible operating rhythms.
  • Define and report community health and contribution using quantitative and qualitative signals.

Qualifications for Position:
  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in community building, grassroots programs, partnerships, audience development, or a related field-or an equivalent track record.
  • Evidence of personally launching or substantially growing a community, program, or system from an early stage, including social media channels.
  • Strong understanding of Spades culture is highly preferred, including respect for differences in language, traditions, rules, and community norms.
  • Demonstrated ability to earn trust and build authentic relationships with diverse communities and external partners.
  • Experience developing programs and experiences that drive participation, connection, and long-term engagement with measurable KPI support.
  • Strong writing, facilitation, and editorial judgment, including the ability to recognize stories without being the primary creative producer.
  • Strategic and analytical judgment; able to turn qualitative and quantitative insight into recommendations and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Comfort collaborating across several internal partners without direct authority.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically for community gatherings, partner meetings, and relevant events.
  • (Preferred) Experience in mobile gaming, consumer apps, grassroots communities, community partnerships, online operations, live events, tabletop games, or other culturally rooted communities.
