Team

As part of the Global Finance Technology team, this role contributes to the overall success of Finance Data Management Data capabilities across the enterprise.

The team supports financial processes and provides financial data management, data analysis, data quality and data governance.

Role

  • The purpose of this role is to provide a process and data driven approach to define business requirements to support Finance data and technology initiatives.
  • The Business Analyst will work with a cross functional team of Finance, Compliance, and Technology professionals, providing data discovery, project delivery, and product support skills.
  • They will draw on strong financial literacy, knowledge of Finance business processes, and data analysis to conduct requirements analysis, documentation, and solution design.
  • The position will participate in multiple Finance Transformation projects, delivering solutions to meet the needs of multiple lines of business, and interfaces extensively with internal development teams, as well as 3rd party vendors, and business clients.


What will we expect from you?

  • Contribute to the analysis, design, delivery, testing, and implementation of technology solutions that address evolving business needs within a fast-paced, highly regulated banking environment. This includes documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and key design decisions.
  • Participate throughout the full systems development and implementation lifecycle by collaborating closely with Finance business partners to define requirements, processes, and solution objectives. Work with internal development teams and technology partners to design and deliver effective, scalable solutions.
  • Complete data discovery and analysis exercises to deepen understanding of new data sources that can enhance regulatory and financial reporting.
  • Build strong working relationship with peers within the Finance function and other technology partners.
  • Expected to function independently to ensure that the assigned tasks and project objectives are met.
  • Keeps abreast of process and technology developments which affect the Finance and Accounting communities.
  • Ensures the team is kept informed of all unresolved issues, other areas of concern and other deviations from plans through timely and well documented reporting.


What You Will Bring to Succeed

  • University College degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Experience in delivering services solutions for Finance and Financial Risk Management
  • Strong Capital Markets product and service knowledge, or prior experience working in GBM is highly desired
  • Strong data discovery and analytics skills
  • Business Analysis or Project Management Certification would be an asset
  • Possesses strong sense of curiosity and willingness to learn new ideas and concepts
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • SQL/Python/Power BI experience will help with the data models and analysis
