Full Job Description
Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician • CRJ200 Dallas Love Field (KDAL) • $180,000 base • Full-time • Relocation and per diem provided • Reports to the Director of Maintenance Waltzing Matilda Aviation is an FAA Part 135 aircraft management and charter operator. We are adding the CRJ200 to our certificate for a charter program based at Dallas Love Field, and we are hiring the technician who will own the fleet - first through an extended induction and refurbishment assignment at the maintenance facility, then as the senior maintenance presence at the Dallas line station. THE ROLE Phase one • Resident technical representative From Q4 2026 through delivery. On-site at the maintenance facility, with travel and per diem covered. • Represent the operator through heavy check, refurbishment and return to service. Witness and verify work packages, and own the discrepancy list from initial inspection through final acceptance. • Audit records for FAA conformity: airworthiness directive and service bulletin status, life-limited part traceability, and 8130-3s. • Coordinate the buyer modification program - interior, connectivity and livery. • Lead technical acceptance. Phase two • Dallas base From entry into service. Based at Dallas Love Field (KDAL). • Stand up the station: hangar, tooling, ground support equipment, and parts provisioning. • Run day-to-day line maintenance and own compliance under the continuous airworthiness maintenance program - scheduled inspections, deferrals and MEL management, required inspection items, and mechanical interruption reporting. • Administer the CF34-3B1 engine program: utilization reporting, borescope and trend monitoring, and engine change coordination. • Recruit, train and supervise a small technician team. • Support FAA conformity inspections and proving flights as the type is added to the certificate. WHAT WE REQUIRE • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate in good standing. • Seven or more years on the CRJ200 / CL-65 platform with CF34-3B1 experience, across both heavy check and line environments. • Demonstrated work under a Part 121 or Part 135 continuous airworthiness maintenance program. • Strong records and technical publications discipline. • Eligible to hold required inspection item authorization. • A track record of running a station or a shift with minimal supervision. • Valid passport and the ability to travel and work outside the United States for extended periods. • Willing to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. • Eligible for a TSA criminal history records check and for DOT and FAA drug and alcohol testing under 14 CFR Part 120. Valid driver's license. PREFERRED • Inspection Authorization; engine run and taxi qualification on type. • Experience supporting a type addition to a Part 135 certificate, including conformity inspection. • Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 avionics. • Established relationships with CRJ maintenance providers and parts suppliers. COMPENSATION • $180,000 base salary • Travel and per diem fully covered for the induction assignment; relocation assistance to Dallas. • Health, dental and vision. Paid time off.
