Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Plant Layout & Mechanical Engineer, you will support the engineering and execution of Combined Cycle Power Plant projects from proposal development through commissioning and startup. Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will contribute to plant layout development, mechanical system design, and equipment integration activities. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and global engineering teams to help resolve technical challenges and ensure project objectives are achieved. This role provides an opportunity to apply your technical expertise while supporting the successful delivery of complex power generation projects.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop and review plant layouts, including 3D/2D models, equipment arrangements, plot plans, and related engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate mechanical engineering activities with multidisciplinary project teams throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and optimize plant design solutions.
  • Support the specification, evaluation, selection, and integration of mechanical equipment and auxiliary plant systems.
  • Review supplier documentation and provide engineering support for procurement, manufacturing, and equipment integration activities.
  • Support construction, commissioning, startup, and technical design review activities to ensure successful project execution.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in plant layout engineering, mechanical engineering, power generation, industrial facilities, or related engineering project environments.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and global project teams.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, PDMS, MicroStation, or similar plant design and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of power plant systems, equipment layout development, and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
