The Opportunity:

The CACI team at Aviation, Space, and Admiralty is looking for a Law Clerk II to take on a leadership role among the onsite team working on a high-tempo case.From day one, the position incumbent will step into an onsite leadership position that involves legal research, substantial Relativity use, data tracking, and task management for a small team of law clerks and paralegals.  The position incumbent should be comfortable taking ownership of tasks as they come in and making decisions as needed to keep the case moving.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the intake, analysis, and production of data in a large multi-plaintiff case.

  • Research law relevant to ongoing trial and assist attorneys in motions preparation, legal research, and deposition preparation.

  • Assist the project management team in overseeing multiple workflows on the case, providing on-site leadership and mentoring to the rest of the onsite team.

  • Oversee internal on-site management documents, including data catalog and task tracker, and assist PM team in keeping the case running


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in eDiscovery and legal research and writing.

  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams, and Word.

  • Proficiency with using Relativity or Relativity One, including creating saved searches; reviewing and tagging documents for relevance, privilege, and confidentiality.

  • Working knowledge of law related to electronic discovery.

  • Proficiency with legal research tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of law clerks as "first among equals" in support of major litigation.


Desired:

  • Demonstrated "power user" proficiency with Relativity and electronic discovery applications, including comfort with the terminology used in structured analytics.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of law clerks in litigation support and to work directly with project managers in meeting the needs of the team.

Pay Range:

This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.​

Minimum Required Hourly Wage:

$46.90
