This role requires strong system-level ownership, hands-on involvement in prototype validation, and deep expertise in root cause analysis (RCA) for launch-related issues.
The engineer will drive exterior system components from early prototyping (off tool) through full production readiness, ensuring alignment with performance, quality, cost, and timing targets.
High Priority:
Exterior Systems Launch Issue & RCA Report
Comprehensive RCA documentation for open launch issues
Data-backed engineering analysis and validation
Interim containment plans and permanent corrective actions
Updates maintained within issue tracking systems
Production Maturation & Final Release Package
Performance reports for off-tool and prototype parts
Manufacturing trial results and plant build feedback
Functional verification of exterior systems
Feasibility validation of proposed solutions
Medium Priority:
Prototype & Trial Validation Package
Cross-functional alignment documentation
Validation against production quality and cost targets
Supplier & Manufacturing Feasibility Assessment
Final engineering release documentation
Incorporation of all launch-driven design changes
Completion of production part signoffs
Confirmation that systems meet vehicle performance and manufacturing objectives
