Summary


As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth for Novanta's Precision Medicine business. This is an opportunity to partner with some of the world's leading OEMs, uncover new market opportunities, influence product roadmaps, and help bring innovative technologies to life.


In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers while connecting voice-of-customer insights to Novanta's commercial and product strategies. You will build executive-level relationships, identify whitespace opportunities, and translate complex customer challenges into scalable solutions that drive long-term growth.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive Strategic Account Growth by expanding relationships within key OEM accounts, identifying whitespace opportunities, and developing account strategies that accelerate revenue, market share, and long-term customer value.
  • Uncover and Convert New Opportunities through consultative customer engagement, translating workflow challenges, unmet needs, and voice-of-customer insights into qualified opportunities, project wins, and scalable production programs.
  • Influence Customer and Business Strategy by building trusted relationships with engineering, procurement, quality, commercial, and executive stakeholders while connecting customer needs to Novanta's product and technology roadmap.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Execution by partnering with commercial, engineering, operations, product management, and program teams to deliver customer solutions, drive account success, and support profitable growth.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

  • Strategic Commercial Leadership: Proven success growing complex OEM or B2B accounts through consultative selling, opportunity creation, account planning, and pipeline development.
  • Customer-Centric Problem Solving: Ability to uncover customer challenges, identify growth opportunities, and translate technical, operational, and commercial needs into actionable business solutions.
  • Executive Influence and Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders across all organizational levels, from engineers and procurement teams to senior executives.
  • Business Acumen and Execution Excellence: Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with experience leveraging CRM tools, customer insights, and business data to drive decisions, forecast opportunities, and achieve results.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport demonstration equipment and related materials up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Manual dexterity for using a computer, including typing and operating a mouse.
  • Stamina for frequent travel, including long flights and car rides.

Travel Requirements

  • Expect to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to travel on short notice and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The base pay for this position is $122,000 to $183,800 per year depending on the geographic market.
